T-shirt printing
made the old fashion way on a traditional six colour silk-screen
printing machine.
Branded t-shirts to company promotional T-shirts or garments,
we can do it all. We supply only the best quality garments
at the best affordable prices.
We can also supply you
with un printed garments We have a huge corporate and
casual range to pick from.
Our darkroom
is used to pre pair the positives and silk-screens for
exposure. We use a yellow light setup as other colour's
intend not to work as well.
Emulation is used to cover the silk-screen
and left to dry in a drying rack. Once it has dried it
is ready to setup the positive on the screen for exposure.
Exposure is
done with a 3000 watt lamp that burns the positive image
to the silk-screen.
Exposure times can vary from 6min to 15min depending
on the emulation used on the screen.
Over exposure can
result in a poor image quality.
Once exposure
are complete the silk-screen is send of to the wash bay
to rinse to image out of the silk-screen.
A power washer is used to wash the silk-screens. After
the wash the silk-screens are placed in a drying rack
awaiting to be used for printing.
Chemicals are used to clean the silk-screen after it
has been used.
The six colour
silk-screen printer with a four station loading bed system
can produce up to five hundred single colour printed shirts
or garments a day
This machine must be setup for each job.
Setup cost for this machine is R120.00 per colour. It is
a very time consuming process to setup the machine.
The flash dryer
is used to dry paints on the shirt before the next coat
or colour can be applied to the shirt of garment
The flash dryer can not be used to cure the paints on
the shirts of garments A heat press or drying tunnel
are used instead.
